Feature-Based Product Model In CIMS

ABSTRACT: CAD/CAM is a core element in CIMS, and hence the feature-based product modeling is the key to CAD/CAM integration. In this paper, a typical functional model of automatic engineering design system of CIMS is analyzed, and the definition and classification of features in CIMS-oriented and feature-based product modeling are discussed.
